Reviews and Ratings
As a non-smoker, I found the strong smell of smoke in the rooms unpleasant. However, the twin room provided was nice and offered excellent insights into the Great War and tank excavations. The hotel's service was exceptional, with the owner being a WW1 expert with own tank called Deborah who went above and beyond to assist us, even driving us to the station. The location, though perhaps not the best, was good for us and walkable to the town center. The dining experience was very good with a wide selection of food, although a bit expensive at 11 Euros.
The hotel's rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and warm; however, the downside was the closure of the restaurant on a Sunday evening, which forced me to opt for fast food instead. Breakfast, priced at 11 Euros, seemed a bit expensive for my taste. As a non-smoker, I found the allowance of dogs in the breakfast room slightly unpleasant.
My stay at the hotel was truly delightful. The beautiful rooms overlooked the garden, and the good old-fashioned radiator valves in the room added a cozy touch. The large, lavishly decorated rooms connected seamlessly with the delightful dining room. However, it felt a bit pricey for what was offered.
